Fifth Sunday of Easter, Year A

| Sunday Gospel ‘There are many rooms in my Father’s house’. The words of Jesus teach us that he has made room for us in the heavenly home. The work of the disciple then is to make room for Christ on earth. Making room for Jesus means that we are to pray and serve others. We learn to know and experience the promise of Jesus when we make it a part of everyday life. It is a real challenge to live an authentic Christian life, there are many calls on our time and energy, some good and some bad, perhaps leading us away from the promised destination. As we gather for prayer at the beginning of Mary’s month of May, we ask her intercession to help us to see her Son’s promise in the decisions we make and the path we take.Sunday Masses Church of the Holy Spirit (Sat.)
