Easter Day of the Lord’s Resurrection, Year A

Jesus Christ is Risen Alleluia, Alleluia. Today we celebrate the source and summit of all praise and thanksgiving to the Father in the Risen Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. Today we begin the annual celebration of Christ’s defeat over death and sin. The beauty of this day comes from the promises that Christ is present to us in his Risen form. When we turn to him in prayer we do so to the Lord who brings the Good News of salvation to the whole of creation. This promise of new life gives joyful confidence to us his people, his family. We then are an Easter people who have received the joy of the gospel message, may we bring that authentic love to everyone we meet.
A happy and peaceful Easter to you and your families from Fr Gabriel and the pastoral council, with a word of thanks to those who volunteer in the parish and prepared the liturgy and the churches for the Lent, Holy Week and Easter celebrations.
