The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) is pushing to remove the 14-day limit for experimenting on embryos, despite 97% of submissions from the general public to their consultation objecting to these plans.

Right To Life UK has launched an easy-to-use tool on its website that makes it easy for you to email your MP asking them to oppose a change to legislation that, if passed, would pave the way for the removal of the 14-day limit. 3rd (First Sunday of Advent) – “For all parents expecting a new child, that they might be blessed with a safe and healthy pregnancy for mother and baby. Lord hear us”.

10th (Second Sunday of Advent) – “Let us pray for our politicians and decision-makers, that they would always strive to protect all human life and human dignity from the point of conception till natural death. Lord hear us”.

17th (Third Sunday of Advent) – “As we await the coming of the Child Jesus at Christmas, we ask God to fill our hearts with joy for the gift of new life. Lord hear us”.

24th (Fourth Sunday of Advent) – “Today, with the Nativity of Christ in sight, our prayer focuses on expectant mothers. For all those going into labour now and in the next months, we pray for the safety and wellbeing of both mother and baby. Lord hear us”.

25th (Midnight Mass of the Nativity of Christ) – “Our Lady said “Yes” to God’s plan for her pregnancy, and for the birth of the Child Jesus. Let us pray for all parents experiencing an unexpected pregnancy, that the Lord would give them the necessary graces to repeat Mary’s “Yes” for their new child. Lord hear us”. 

25th (Mass of the Day of the Nativity of Christ) – “Let us pray for babies born today and throughout this coming year, that God would grant them health and happiness and their parents, joy, patience and strength. Lord hear us”.

31st (The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph) – “Let us pray for all those worried about not having the resources to support their new baby, that they would have the faith of Mary and Joseph that God will provide and watch over them. Lord hear us”.
